You’re Invited

January 7-27, 2019

In November, God began stirring my heart for us to engage in a dedicated season of prayer and fasting. It wasn’t in response to any particular trend or issue within Christ Fellowship. Instead, it arose from my own private time of personal fasting and prayer and a fervent desire to see God revive each of us, our church, and our community.

This stirring in me resonated deeply with our elders and our staff. We believe so strongly that God is calling all of Christ Fellowship to this season that we’ve changed the January sermon series and moved events so we can all focus on 21 days of prayer and fasting.

We don’t know what will happen next. We have no agenda, no desired outcome, no long-term plans, except this – that we may have more of Jesus.

From January 7-27, I am inviting and challenging you to seek God in prayer and fasting for spiritual revival. For these 21 days, we will hold nights of worship and prayer at the McKinney campus, each night beginning at 7:00 pm. Over these 21 days, my hope is that we will each personally pray and fast for spiritual revival.

I’m particularly moved by what the early Christian leaders did in Acts 1:

They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. Acts 1:14

The leaders, men, and women prayed constantly together. In the next chapter, it says that 3,000 people were saved and baptized after the Spirit came at Pentecost. My hope is that the Spirit of God will move with the same supernatural power in our lives, in our church, and in our community.

What will God do in your life at the start of this new year? How will he move in the relationships around you? How will Christ Fellowship shine the love of Christ ever brighter in Collin County?

Let’s find out together. As he begins to reveal truth to you and move in your life, I invite you to email me at bmiller@cfhome.org so I can celebrate with you.

Bruce,
Senior Pastor
